A gas is either H2, N2, F2, or Cl2. Based on the following information about a sample of the gas, what is its identity? A 2.50 L sample of the gas exerts a pressure of 1.75 atm, has a mass of 6.7534 g and is at a temperature of 27.0 degreesC.

Thanks in advance!

PV = nRT, Ideal gas equation
Use R= 0.0821 l atm K^-1 mole^-1
T= 300 K
P= 1.75 atm
V= 2.5 L
n = no. of moles of the gas = given mass of the gas / molecular mass of the gas

Using the equation you can find the molecular mass of the gas, and hence the gas you have in question.
youwill find the answer to be F2; molecular mass = 38.0
