Who's glad that Ryanair have FINALLY decided to stand up against the health and

safety nazis re ash cloud? It was proven that no deposits were made on jet engine fans at the low densities of volcanic ash the last time a volcano erupted in Iceland, yet today the "experts" are STILL choosing to ban flights to Scotland.

So isn't it with a collective sigh of releif that Ryanair have stood up to these idiots and flown a 737 through the cloud to indicate that (surprise surprise) again there were no deposits found.

Michael O'Leary for PM I say...

It's about time we stopped focusing on very unlikely problems in life, and got real.

Flying through volcanic ash is extremely dangerous. Michael O'Leary knows about as much about aviation safety as I know about brain surgery, so what he says is irrelevant. I don't fly on bargain-basement airlines for safety reasons, so if he wants to risk the lives of his employees and passengers for a quick euro, that's his problem, not mine. As for me, if there's volcanic ash in the air, I stay on the ground.

No,i'm not. It was a very irresponsible thing to do. Just think of the devastation on the ground,he not only risked the lives of the crew but possibly hundreds on the ground. The cry would have been quite different if something dreadful had happened...............

Not sure where you are from but O'Leary is Irish so cant be the UK PM and clearly he is highly self interested in his planes flying for money reasons so I for one would not take his advice due to lack of independence
