I recently posted a question like this and was harassed and accused for it. Here's the retry:
I have a subordinate who seems passive-aggressive. Knowing that PA people don't usually know that they are, it's been a great deal of stress treating this person with the kindness and discretion I want to be treated with, while at the same time getting him to do his job(or just failing to get him to do his job). I've never accused him of anything, I just want to find a nice way to deal with him. I was forced into the position I'm in now, and my management doesn't want to give me any counsel on how to deal with this person. If anyone has a story of a (nice) tactic that has worked for them dealing with passive-aggressives, could you share it? Just looking for as much knowledge as I can get. Huge, expansive libraries are difficult to find in Afghanistan and my book's not here yet. Please no attacks this question. Thanks guys.
