I think its an easy one. George Washington was president during a time when our country was seriously struggling to survive. He put a strong face on our country and gave it some credibility. He put the best minds in his cabinet because he knew that he couldn't do it alone, and one of his greatest feats, he gave up all the power after two terms.
Abe Lincoln made us the only country in the world that had to fight a war to end slavery.
