who was the best in freaky friday 1976/2003?

i'm old enough to remember when the original freaky friday was released in 1976....i remember going to watch it at a local cinema and it was good...very popular at that time.

then it was remade in 2003 this time starring lindsay lohan...whereas the original had jodie foster.
the original relied quite a bit on special effects but the remake was more realistic...if i'm honest i think they are both good films...funny...captivating...and emotive...well it was for me.
anyway what do you think?

who do you think was the better actress foster or lohan?
lindsay lohan is having a real tough time lately....first she gets attacked by a waitress and ive just read on american idolizing.com that she is being sued for a unpaid bills totalling $17,000!!!
i thought she was making enough bucks now she is a famous actress?
then she has been done for numerous dui....i fear she is heading for a breakdown sooner or later...i hope she doesn't of course but the way things are going for her
there is every chance it could happen.

I to remember the original and liked it quite a lot. I have them both and truthfully their is no comparison, they were made so far apart that they can both stand on their own. As to the better actress, I would have to say Jodi Foster. Lindsey was ok, but she overacts through much of it, and that can be exhausting. I also have to say that having Mark Harmon in it was one of the reasons I watched the new one. lol.
