who was in the military and what did you feel during boot camp?

im 19 now and im going to join the army in a few weeks, how did you feel when you left your home and returned?, was it the same and did you have a good career afterward?. I know these are some random questions but I really want to know because ever since i turned 11 i wanted to join and this is new to me and i feel like im adapting to a new environment. please answer i need to know
