Who should get more credit for a winning team the GM or the Head Coach?

The first person to go is the coach but I guess when it comes down to technicalities it's actually the GM's fault, winning or losing.

Good question. I would put my finger on the coach. He is the one that controls the players during game time and practice.

Depends. If a team looks good on paper (eg. Red Wings), but doesn't perform like they should, blame the coach, because the GM did all he could. If a team doesn't look so good on paper (eg. Atlanta) but overachieves, credit the coach. If not, blame the GM for not putting together a good enough lineup.

So its somewhere in the middle.
