I have a fairly large painting in my house, with a green and gold frame. It is a bouquet of colored flowers and is in good condition, except the frame has some paint chips on it. The flowers are in color, but they are not very vibrant. It is really a calm painting to look at. There is some texture, but not a lot. The main detail I can give you is that it is signed "Falch" in the bottom right corner in gold writing.
Those are really all the details I can give. I did a quick search online and the only painter I could find with the name Falch was Johann Falch, a German painter. This makes sense because my family tells me that it was passed down from ancestors who lived in Europe.
I would love to know how much the painting is worth, who actually painted it, or any details/steps I could take to find out more about this painting. Thanks.
Also, is it recommended to take a look at the back of the painting or anything for more info.?
Thanks,
Tom
