I know who *wrote* the novel, but I'm asking who narrates it. I thought it was either Dumas or just an unnamed narrator, but a few years ago when I chose this book for an English assignment, my teacher told me that it is narrated by Edmond Dantes. I suppose that *might* work, though I can think of several scenes that involve information Dantes would have no way of knowing. Does it even make sense that Dantes would be telling the story? Or was my English teacher crazy?
