The reason I am asking this is bcuz I am planning to get a new car but I can't decide wether to go for the 2010 mustang or a 09 accord coupe, I just want to know what make is better, which one will give me the less trouble. Thanks

My wife has a Honda, and I have a Honda bike. Both are good vehicles, but her Honda is road-noisy, with less than stellar ergonomics.

I just gave up a 1995 Contour with about 40,000 miles on it when I bought in 1997. I drove over 100,000 miles in that car, and only took it to the recyclers because I inherited my sister's 2003 Chevy Malibu with a bigger engine and 38,000 miles.

That Contour had something wrong in the engine compartment, perhaps the computer needed replacing, but we'll never know because I couldn't justify putting any money into it. Otherwise, it still ran like a Timex watch, and was a true son of a 1971 Thunderbird that still ran well, but the coachwork and bodywork were shot.

Both the Mustang and the Accord are attractive cars, and both will probably give you years of faithful service if you take care of them. Which is the better mechanically would be answered only if you bought both and carefully ran them as identically as possible.

The Mustang, particularly a coupe in Torch Red, is of course FAR sexier.

Ford is best!! My first car was a 66 mustangit had almost 200,000 miles on it when I sold it had it for 13 years & very little trouble, then I got a VW rabbit then an 85 mustang GT convertible, then a 65 mustang, then a 69 mustang ( I would still have this but couldn't get the A/C to work after replacing everything must have A/C in Vegas), then a 99 pontiac sunfire, & now a 2000 mustang convertible. I say support American cars!! You can check reliability at the site below, but they won't have data for the past couple years as the cars are too new to have problems....lol. The mustang is much cooler looking & sounds better. If you don;t take proper care of your car it doesn't matter which one you get. Change your oil regularly, flush the radiator & replace hoses & belts regularly & all cars will treat you right. But once again SUPPORT AMERICA buy a FORD !!!
