Who made the bicycles sold at W.T. Grant's department store in the 60's?

Grant's sold knock-off lower end versions of the popular bikes of the 60's, but who were they actually built by? The frames seem to be American, similar to Columbia or Murray? I have a metallic green 3 speed Sportsman with a copy of the Schwinn 'mag wheel' sprocket from about '69 and I am wondering which company made it. Thanks!
