my plan is up and i can get a new phone.
Im thinkin about gettin the droid eris
but i am worried about this HTC Dragon/Passion bein somethin i want but there is no info set in stone about that phone except that it's for sure now comin out next year and it's android 2.1, n it's just straight up amazing

so my question is, can i get this droid eris....then before the 30 day trial is up, go back to the phone i have now, then get the passion when it comes out if i like it???

(i'd keep the eris and use it for the next 2 years as long as i like it better over the passion/dragon once some info finally makes it's way out)

the only thing is say i get the eris on December 18th and the Passion/Dragon comes out in Feb, my 30 days would be up in Jan tho...that's why i am asking if i could just go back to the phone i have now until it would eventually come out

Yes, you can do just that. I had a similar situation with Verizon back in the spring where I had the Samsung Glyde for 30 days and decided that I did NOT like it. Verizon sent me the Samsung Omnia and because I had already made two changes to my plan (the maximum allowed in one billing cycle) I had to go back to my old phone (Samsung Alias) until my billing cycle restarted.
However, you can actually go month to month with the phone you have now then do your upgrade in February.
