Can a vendor sue (inept, unprofessional) auction houses for libel/financial loss/ international embarrassment to people and families connected to it? If a VIP painting, signed by the artist is certified and authenticated by no less than 12 experts & persons who knew the artist personally,- including a Nobel Laureate!
However the auction house/s who have not researched the artwork properly and splash their remarks all over the international press and internet, "that it is not signed" when in fact is! - on both sides of this work! and in the artist's own hand writing.
The auction houses have taken the word of an unqualified non academic museum director,in a foreign state-run museum, who sadly lacking tertiary education and art experience,has blocked the sale by nine auction houses! - yet there is definite documented proof that this work is genuine, by12 VIP letters, photographs and handwriting analysis experts!
A great injustice has been done, to the Art expert who appraised the work 3 times!, the artist ( a very close friend of Picasso), myself (who has researched this fit for over 7 years! - and to the 12 living persons and their families directly connected to this artwork!
