Long time ago, I read a bunch of book in a series. When I say series, I don't mean part 1, 2 and 3 of a character's story. It's more like each book tells the love story of 2 people (or creatures in this case). The characters in all these books are related because in someway or another they know each other and/or are a part of the same paranormal world. I want to read one of these books again but I can't seem to remember the title or author of the book.
One book I remember reading in that series was this werewolf who I guess went rogue or was betrayed by someone from his pack so he went off on his own and then he saw a woman. She was pretty but the thing is she is "big-boned" but she's perfect for him because he's like 7 feet tall or something, lol. Obviously they fall in love despite her self-esteem issues and him being a werewolf.
There's another book about another guy who is immortal (in that same series) and there's something about there being 2 leaders, the god Apollo and goddess Artemis. Artemis is jealous and cruel in the story and always tries to get what she wants. Anyway, the story goes that the vampires were originally the people of Apollo and that someone did something wrong, so the people of Apollo was cursed and so they became vampires. I might be remembering it wrong though. :/
Anyway, hopefully someone out there will know what I'm talking about and will give me the name of the author!
I remember going on her website and she has different parts for each kind of creatures that's in the world she created. (I remember the author being female). Um... what is... :/ Oooh! And in the books, she talks about werewolves but there's also were-bears and were-whatevers. lol. There isn't just a werewolf pack but also other clans of other animals that can also shape-shift between being a human and a certain animal. And to further add to that, there are 2 different types of "shape-shifters". There's the animal who shape-shifts into a human (but is born an animal) and then there's a human who shape-shifts into an animal (but is born a human).
And I remember there being a bar/pub where these magical people meet and stuff.
I think the author might be Sherrilyn Kenyon. I was looking through a list of some paranormal-romance authors and for some reason this name just screams "it's me you're looking for!!!!" lol. I googled her and the website seems very similar to the website I visited years ago. I am 85% confident it is her but I want someone to confirm that the werewolf story I read was written by her. I already gathered from the website that the Apollo story I remembered was written by her so I'm happy I found her lol But I really want to re-read that book about the human girl who was big (not fat, big) and her boyfriend dumped her and was pretty cruel with her (he was a goodlooking guy who was using her, I think) and he was like "why would I ever date someone like you?" and the werewolf guy saw this and was pissed. And he was protective over her and in the beginning appeared to her only as a wolf so she took him in thinking he was a stray dog. lol I hope I'm not confusing anyone.
