Who is the most over rated running back in history?

I'm sure this question has been asked a number of times but first let me qualify the question w/ my background.
I have been a devoted fan my entire life. I also owned a trading card store for 15 yrs. I was able to banter sport questions back and forth w/ a number of customers.
I am totally unbiased when it comes to who is the "least" in history ... of course my heart influences by "best" convictions.
 
tomlinson he plays 3 of the weakest run defenses in the league twice a year
 
im my opinion it come down to two guys. Emmitt Smith and Gayle Sayers.

Emmitt Smith was no doubt a great runningback, probobly top 5 of all time, but WAY to many people say he was the greatest and that is why he is overrated. His records are from his durability. If people like Barry Sanders were around longer, they would have dominated Smiths records. Smiths success was also a measure of his outstanding team, and offensive line. yes smith was a great runningback but not the greatest and that is why I consider him the most overrated runningback of all time.

Gayle Sayers is right up there with Emmitt Smith but I think is second in the overrated scale. People claim he is the greatest ever as well. Many put him in the top 10, well I don't. He had two good seasons, you can't claim somebody is that good with only two great seasons under their belt. If he was able to show his durability then you can make an argument, but you can't when you only last 7 seasons. 3 of which were not complete because of injury.

while both these backs are legends I consider them overrated because people give them WAY more praise then they deserve
 
We all know berry Sanders as the real deal, but the most overrated was probalbly Jerome bettis he was good, but in the nfl he wasnt fast enough as a tail back, he was good because his lineman took care of the big guy, superbowel lineman, and that left little corners and safties to try and tackle him thay call him the bus but have him run threw shawn rodgers head on.
