who is in your opinion the best baseball player in postseason history after 1960 ?In my opinion Reggie Jackson is.

I think that aside from the blown save against the Red Sox, Mariono Rivera is.

all time: Reggie Jacksonnow: Carlos Beltran. remember in the playoffs with the Astros in 04 he had 8 homeruns?! and the Astros got knocked out in the NLCS! if he went to the world series, he might of had like 11!

There are a few guys I could put up there but Im only going to go with the guys I actually saw play. MoBernie MannyTheres more but these are the guys that first pop into my mind.

Probably Reggie Jackson. He did enough to win 2 MVP awards for the 1973 and 1977 World Series'. If I couldnt pick him, I'd go with Mariano Rivera. He's done some amazing stuff throughout postseasons, including the World Series.

Manny Ramirez, it's not even close. He has the most postseason HRs (28) and RBIs (74), and tied Pete Rose for the longest postseason hitting streak.

George Brett.Reggie probably wins if we assign points for drama.Among pitchers, I won't argue against Bob Gibson.----------Let's compare.Reggie, career -- 9864 at-bats, .262/.356/.490Reggie, postseason -- 281 AB, .278/.358/.527Reggie had some amazing moments, but had some real stinker playoff series as well. He hit a little better, overall, in the postseason than he did in his career.Brett, career -- 10349 AB, .305/.369/.487Brett, postseason -- 166 AB, .337/.397/.627WOW!!!And, for fun, another guy who stepped it up in October:Will Clark, career -- 7173 AB, .303/.384/.497Will Clark, post -- 117 AB, .333/.409/.547Now that's clutch.

Reggie Jackson, Mr. October. If you didn't say after 1960 i would have said Whitey Ford. He has the most World Series wins.

Lou Brock. In 3 post season series he had 4 HR, 13 RBI, 14 SB, and batted .391 with a .424 on base ave and a .655 slugging pct.For pitchers, believe it or not it would have to be John Rocker. He pitched in 20 post season games and had 2-0 record, 3 saves and a 0.00 ERA. That's right, in 20 2/3 innings in the post season he did not give up a single run. Mariano is pretty impressive as well going 8-1, 34 saves and a 0.77 ERA.

Reggie Jackson if you're talking best post-season hittersCurt Schilling or Josh Beckett for post-season pitchersJosh Beckett has been phenomenal in october for the red sox these past few years
