Who is the "author of confusion"? Why do Christians argue so much with each

other about what the NT says? Why is there so much contradiction within Paul's letters? Or between Paul and Acts or Paul and the Gospels? Or between the gospels? For 1 example, Matthew says baby Jesus was taken from Bethlehem to Egypt, while Luke insists baby Jesus was taken "immediately or directly straight from Bethlehem to Nazareth". And Luke's genealogy of Joseph (or the paternal lineage of Jesus) repeats certain names and disagrees with Matthew's version. No one can provide adequate reasoning why Luke's version should be considered the maternal or Mary's lineage. Some people want to believe Joseph was a widower, but that is not in the gospels and it is only speculation by a few of the church fathers. Other "fathers" and other a scholars stronly disagree. A few words by the authors or by the later editors or redactors could have greatly cleared things up. But some Christians will fight and even kill others because of the confusion in and disagreements about the texts.

And some logic is illogical. For example, because some believe Jesus is god, we can easily assume Jesus is the father of the son who is Jesus.
"I am" is not a good translation of the name you are referring to. And saying "before Abraham" is meaningless and nonsensical. It confused and still confuses. Why not just say Cain or the serpent, maybe?
