who is right me or my sister in law?

ok i am not that close to my sister in law. i have been married for 12 years. but she lives 20 minutes away and we do the b day thing and holidays. anyway in july at my sons b day we invited her and her family. BUT on that day my friend i had not seen in SIX years was passing through for the night. and had to leave in the morning. at pizza i DID acknowledge she was there is said hello and talked for a few minutes. but went back the other end of the table and explained i had not seen her in SIX years and it was only for one night. so i dont want to be rude but i want to catch up. I HAVE NEVER HEARD FROM MY SISTER IN LAW SENSE. she wont return e mails or anything. i thanked her for the gift for my son, and apologized again for not being able to spend much time at the party. am i wrong or is she being a little selfish.
 
no its u. it was ur son's birthday, she was there for ur son and u. but u wernt there for ur son. she lost her respect for u i suppose
