Who is riding Touring Harley for the first time?

Bought my Ultra Classic Christmas Eve, first one. 4100 miles, looking to get another 6000 this year. I don't ride daily, but when I do it is all day.
 
My first bagger. Came off a 2004 Wide Glide, which I loved and I still think is more comfortable than my Ultra, but I am getting used to the Ultra. I guess I am just used to apes, my fwds and my Mustang seat. I did put highway pegs on the bagger and that really helps because I have two places to put my feet. The stock seat sucks, but doesn't suck as bad as the stock Wide Glide seat did. The bagger is growing on me though and we had a great ride this weekend. I am learning to wind her up a bit and then she runs just fine. I really like the fact I can haul my tools, emergency stuff, whatever, around and not worry about it. I'm pushing 50 anyway, so I guess it was about time....!
 
Just bought my first HD this week - the RGC. I love it and I'm surprised I do. I've been riding for a little over 30 years. I've always owned metric standard/sport touring bikes/sport bikes. I love them for their performance and comfort. Then recently I realized I want a bagger so that my wife and I can start riding together again. We used to when we younger, but after having and raising our kids we decided not to for many years.

Well I took test rides on the Victory CC and the RGC. I was shocked at how much I liked them. It was a totally different riding experience for me. It was relaxing whereas my other bikes were more exciting, I guess. I still have a sport touring bike and will continue to ride it occasionally, but I'm very quickly becoming an HD loyalist for the relaxing coolness of it. I can't wait until my Sundowner and backrest come in so we can really start to log in some miles. I love having bags to throw things in instead of always having to strap down. Love my Harley.
 
I've had 2 fixed fairing jab bikes (still do). & many other jap bikes as well.

1987 Yamaha 1300 Venture bought new - came stock with fixed fairing, saddle bags, and a tour pack (that I removed). I like that look.

2008 Kawasaki C1400 Concours came stock with fixed fairing and saddle bags only. I like that look.

And now the FLTRSE3 - Electric Orange - Fixed fairing & saddle bags ... I like that look .... my 1st HD - went right to the SE 110 - no regrets. I may have it forever - no BS !

There's the proof I know what I like.
 
march 2010 purchased 07 SG....2500 miles, ....after I got over being worried about the size (other bike 300lbs lighter) It's more predictable, and easier to ride IMO.
I,m very glad I bit the bullet on price.
very happy so far. INstalled stage 1 breather today. bit another bullet.

4000 miles on my 09 Streetglide. My first Harley and My first Touring Bike.

Last bikes were Rigid Choppers so its a HUGE difference!

Miss standing out in the crowd, winning bike shows and people asking to take pics with my bike all the time but I love being able to hit the open road.

I have more miles on my SG in 9 months than I did on my Chopper in 2 years.
