Apparently I completely was off the mark of what I had thought Beowulf was about. I happened upon the animated movie version on TV last night, and was pretty amazed! But today when I went to look online at the book, it was listed as anonymous for the author. Is that true? The author of Beowulf is unknown?
Also...opinions on the book? Did the movie pretty much follow the storyline of the book?

Agnes... It was very violent, I had to turn away at times during the movie and I am 31. I started it with my kids around, then I had to turn it off and wait until they went to bed. I liked the story, but the movie was a bit too graphic for me. I wouldn't advice it for kids either. However, I didn't see incest in there...maybe I missed it? I did see the same woman getting with each new king though
I like...sounds like fairytales. It did have a bit of a fairytale feel to it while I watched it. Interesting!
