Who is an American that has had a significant impact on US history? Please help me think of some ideas! Thanks!

Gee, let's see...HMMMMM...How about ALL of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, the signers of the US Constitution, Most of the US Presidents and statesmen. The original minutemen. The men who took part in the Boston Tea Party. ANY and ALL veterans who proudly serve this once great country.

I'm doing American who had both POSTIVITE and NEGATIVE significant in America.

*Lincoln (Freed the slaves; President during the Civil War; first president assassinated)
*FDR (Only President elected to 4 terms; Gave people hope during the Great Depression; President during WWII)
*LBJ (No matter how many of you disagreed, HE signed the Civil Rights Act - not JFK)
*MLK Jr. (Principal figure in the Civil Rights movement)
*Alexander Hamilton
*George Washington (Turned down the chance of being a monarch)
*Truman
*Ronald Reagan
*Margaret Sanger (Invented Birth Control, started Planned Parenthood. Those are VERY important)
*Sandra Day O' Connor
*Malcolm X
*Andrew Jackson
*Richard Nixon
*Eleanor Roosevelt
*Henry Ford
*Walt Disney
*Thomas Edison
*John D Rockefeller
*James Madison

Other than our founding fathers and all our troops that gave their lives so we could continue to live free, I say Thomas Edison. He took us from darkness to light and made recording and movies possible.
