I don't really see the conflict. I would say that god works according to natural laws (even though we, as humans, don't always understand them) and that as far as I can tell the laws that accompany evolution, for example mutation and specialization, are natural methods of change in the natural world. So whats wrong with god directing it?
Perhaps people are missing the point. Lets call what "Law of evolution" the law of change. I doubt anyone can disagree that things mutate and change. Anyone who has ever studied science knows that things change. The THEORY of evolution means that man came from apes and ultimately cyanobacteria. I am not talking about this theory, I am talking about the law that it is based on.
