My pick is Jonathan Papelbon

Reasons:

- His annoying reactions after he saves a game
- During the Playoffs
- My favorite...his dog chewed up the ball that recorded the final out of the 2007 World Series.

What are your picks???

would have to be manny for the red sox, or big Z for the cubs. i mean what pitcher gets into a fight with his catcher and giver him a black eye, or manny going into the green monster hahaha great moments

Shelly Duncan

I'm sure he was told to spike Iwamura, but who is he to complain about how others play the game. He needs to find some regular playing time before he has the right to talk smack and start brawls!

1. Manny Ramirez (seriously, I can't see why Red Sox fans put up with his "I'm-the-center-of-the-universe" attitude and his laziness in the field. I would NEVER put up with that.)
2. Ozzie Guillen (not a player, I know, but still... does that guy have a "mute" button?)
3. Eric Byrnes (he's good, I'll give him that, but dang that guy is OBNOXIOUS.)

Before: Ty Cobb, points metal spikes up, criticizes teammates, etc.

Right now: Michael Barrett, he's got temper issues and loves to start fights. Last year, he started a fight with his OWN TEAMMATE (Carlos Zambrano) and was in an argument with Rich Hill over a pitch. The year before, he punched A.J. Pierzynski to start a bench clearing brawl. Furthermore, he's been with arguments with Roy Oswalt, and blames other players for his slumps.

I was going to say someone different (Kevin youklis) for his I've had one decent season now I'm a star type attitude- and yes I say that from a personal meeting- as well as his on field attitude. I can't stand how a guy who's a .281 career hitter stands and glares at umpires for getting a close strike called against him as he somehow acts like the reincarnation of Ted Williams and Tony Gwynn at the dish. Plus the guy mouths off a lot for someone that hasn't really accomplished much yet.
But then you remided me of papelbon and his planned out antics after a save, how seriously and importantly he takes himself as if he is already a legend- ever see interviews with this guy? I mean no doubt the guy has been a great closer for two years but sheesh so were keith Foulke and Bobby Thigpen for two or three years each and what happened to them. I tend to get annoyed with any young player that gets so egotistical and part of that I suppose falls on not having too many positive veteran role models that just shut their mouth and play on that team Aside from Papi and Lowell.

My third pick and yeah I'll get even more grief for this is Sammy Sosa. I really tried to like this guy but all the "No hablo" crap in front of congress after he gave what....a dozen years of interviews in english really annoyed me. All the weird little chest taps and blowing kisses combined with that bat flip everytime he just hits a deep fly ball gets very trying.

My last pick - although I could go on is Gary Sheffield. This guy wonders why he's been basically hated for over 20 years. Geez just check an interview. Everyone is racist- wait no they aren't. Derek Jeter isn't black enough to know what being black is like. huh? The yankees conspired to ruin him (after giving him that huge contract- yeah ruin me that way!) wait no they didn't I was misquoted. I didn't use steroids. I might have known of someone that talked about steroids. I did use steroids, but it wasn't my fault I trusted Barry Bonds. Utterly annoying and childish. Act your age and take responsibility.

All told I'm leaning towards Papelbon being the guy that annoys me most right now but any of these guys could top my list depending on what idiocy they pop off with on given day.

Curt "Me Me, It's all about Me" Schilling

Just a Loudmouth, a Hipocrit, and Annoying
