century (so far)? I'm taking Lit,..? ...(my book lists the major writers of each literary period for each major genre developed or introduced in that period), and am curious which writers of our time will most likely be studied in the Literature classes of the future. What will the 21st century be known for in literature? Who will be remembered, read, and analyzed still a century from now?
So, you're saying, wait fifty years and ask again?!
I want someone who knows what they're talking about to answer!!

Personally, I think that the works of these authors SHOULD be studied, even if other people might disagree:
- JK Rowling (to analyse how she captures children's hearts)
- Jodi Picoult (to see the truth in our own societies)
- Marya Hornbacher (to understand how words become alive)
