...happened to me amd my car.? Really quickly, I need to get in touch of consumer affairs or customer complaint center for lexus financial / Toyota Motor Credit. I don't know who to contact and what there contact info is.
Recap: I had leased a 2007 Lexus IS250 and I had surgery recently on my leg because I was shot in Iraq when i was in the marine Corps. I lost my job, my apartment, and on top of everything I had to go through surgery.
I called lexus financial and asked them if I can defer my two payments that I missed and they said yes, and mailed my the defferment paperwork, but never told me that there was a fee. When I recieved it 2 weeks later, I not only mailed a copy back but also faxed one over, and they said that they never recieved it. Also they told me that my account was in collection status and that my car was going to get repoed. I called them and explained that I recently got a new job and was ready to pay them up to what I owed them including the defferment fee if they can wait 2 days until I got my check. At the same time I gave them my new address were I was staying, and within 6 hours, the repo man came and took my car.
I am so upset, I explained to lexus financial that I was a combat veteran and I just had surgury and for them to please give me 2 days and work with me, and that I was not hiding from them and I even gave them my new address. But they had no sympathy.
Who can I email or call who has more authority and can investigate this and do something about it. I do not want a Repo on my credit. Any and all suggustions highly appreciated.
