i have been itching to ask this question as i can't seem to come out with a rational answer
you know how the superior and inferior vena cava carries deoxygenated blood into the right atrium which is then transferred into the right ventricle.
now here's my question: why can't the venae cavae go directly into the right ventricle instead of the right atrium first?
thanks in advance
