i have been itching to ask this question as i can't seem to come out with a rational answer

you know how the superior and inferior vena cava carries deoxygenated blood into the right atrium which is then transferred into the right ventricle.
now here's my question: why can't the venae cavae go directly into the right ventricle instead of the right atrium first?

thanks in advance

thts a very good point u no lol but reli the sino-atrial node is what triggers the first impulsy to the atrioventricular node which creates the 1st heart beat before the second heart beat to get all tht blood out of the heart for the next cycle. its just how we work reli. hope ive helped :)
