Who broke the FLDS story? National Enquirer?

They did a story on it in Sep, 2003. Were they the ones who broke the story?

I have been a die hard fan of national enquirer for about 10 years, I'm ashamed to say. But one this is for sure. They have broken many many stories, including political ones. I give them a thumbs up :)
