Tell me who are your favorites, and what kind of books do they write? I'm looking for new people to read. :)

The ones I like are: Neal Shusterman (teen sci-fi/fantasy), John Scalzi (sci-fi), Anne Rice (horror), Christopher Rice (thriller), Stephanie Meyer (fantasy romance), and J.K. Rowling (fantasy).
