Pete Rose, Nolan Ryan, Ozzie Smith, and Reggie Jackson deserve my vote.
As for underrated, I'm going with Frank Baker, Oscar Charleston, and Honus Wagner. Tim Raines, Cristoble Torriente, and Dan Brouthers also recieve honorable mention.
I agree nobody in the Hall is underrated, but I wasn't exactly thinking that way. I was sort of talking about guys that are usually
A) Underrated because of their standard stats, but when compared to peers are very, very good
B) Not mentioned, or even thought of, by a lot fans when speaking of guys who did really good.
I agree Mazeroski is overrated, especially on offense, but you've got to face it, he's by far the best defensive second baseman in the history of baseball. That, right there, gives him his hall spot.
