Pete Rose, Nolan Ryan, Ozzie Smith, and Reggie Jackson deserve my vote.

As for underrated, I'm going with Frank Baker, Oscar Charleston, and Honus Wagner. Tim Raines, Cristoble Torriente, and Dan Brouthers also recieve honorable mention.
I agree nobody in the Hall is underrated, but I wasn't exactly thinking that way. I was sort of talking about guys that are usually
A) Underrated because of their standard stats, but when compared to peers are very, very good
B) Not mentioned, or even thought of, by a lot fans when speaking of guys who did really good.

I agree Mazeroski is overrated, especially on offense, but you've got to face it, he's by far the best defensive second baseman in the history of baseball. That, right there, gives him his hall spot.

Nolan Ryan doesn't under or over rated. he was great and got respect

pete rose is the man. hard to say he was overrated. he just got screwed by the league

carl yastrzemski was an overrated bum that couldn't with a thing.

How is Pete Rose overrated. If he was overrated he would be in the hall. He is one of the greatest hitters ever. On top of that he always hustled and did his job. Pete Rose should no doubt about it be in the hall. It is a joke that he isnt. If they put Bonds, the biggest cheater in all of baseball, in before they put Pete Rose in that is some total Bull S..H..I..T. The biggest overrated player is Barry Bonds. He use to be good before the steroids. Yeah he was only hitting like 20-30 bombs a year, but he was a great all around player. Thats what i think

k so your overrated players are some of the best in history (that being rose and ryan) smith was great but maybe a little overrated and jackson was amazing in the clutch (and that comes from a red sox fan)

as for underrated rogers hornsby, honus wagner, christy mathewson
