Who are some interesting authors that i can analyze?

My English teacher gave out a paper with commonly analyzed authors (both international and national) to write a research paper on. I lost this paper and need to know authors that would be good for me to analyze. (people like Zora Neale Hurston, Ray Bradbury, William Faulkner, George Orwell etc) I need to analyze the author's life and one or two of his or her works and how they relate. Any suggestions?
