Whiteout.... Umm no thanks!

Just saw an advert for the film out on Friday called Whiteout. Here's what it make me think..

At first I hear "the voice" (deep sounding throaty voice-over guy) - so I'm thinking, 'hmmm, maybe this will be ok, lets see..'
Then I see the guy falling toward the camera and realise the special effects are shocking - late nineties stuff. So at this point my interest is dipping.
Then at the end the cast is listed as "...starring Kate Beckinsdale". And I'm thinking,.. 'yeh, and who else..?'
But the ad just ended!
JUST Kate Beckinsdale! What sort of crap is that? Normally you hear "starring Bruce Willis, Michael Douglas, Will Smith... and co-starring/introducing Kate Beckinsdale."

No way will I be wasting
 
Were in the middle of a credit crunch and everyone neeRAB to be careful with their money,.,,,... unless a film has an awesome hook or is of special interest to me no way am I paying for it. It is not a necessity so when I'm making cuts in my budget stuff like this tops the list
 
And what's wrong with Kate Beckinsale? Sure, the Underworld movies were cinematic turRAB, but the sight of her in skin tight leather almost made it worth the 2 hour torture that came with it. The fact that Whiteout stars her kind of makes me want to see it, lol.

Seriously though, not every film has to have an all star cast. Some of the best films i've seen recently have starred unknowns.
 
Why does anyone post anything on here? Its called an opinion, I also sent an email to WarnerBros. Very bad publicity in my opinion, I love any type of art/creation and was giving my opinion on what is probably the biggest film company in the world producing such an unnappealing film. That's why I care!
 
"It's an opinion" isn't an answer. How can you give an opinion on something you haven't seen? You're judging a film on it's trailer, which is bizzare. Oh well, we all need a reason to get out of bed in the morning, go for it :D

Well, maybe as a cheapo DVD in a few months time, nothing more though.

What I really want from Kate is more skin tight leather vampire action.

whilst you're at it though could you write to pixar as they didnt bother saying ANY names of people who were in 'wall-e'
 
Saw this the other night - its just...well....ok really - obvious from the start who the bad guy / guys are - a dumb plot - corny dialogue etc etc - But on a positive(ish) note.....

It was fun / Kate was in the shower / there were a few good bits of gore / chases / effects etc ( at least when it was supposed to be cold the actors had cold breath- which makes a change!!)

Funniest thing of all though was how selective they were with the effects of frost bite - exposed fingers = bad, but exposed face for as long as you like in temperatures of minus 65 degrees = no effect whatsoever!

Its a 5 or 6 out of ten - probably should have gone straight to DVD - but it passes an hour and half - plus Kate was in the shower :o
 
Haha, I saw the ad and thought the same thing- then I saw Kate was in it and that was the clincher. I really don't rate her or many of the films she's been in.
