White Tongue/Loss of Taste

Hi all!

I am a new poster and my wife is suffering from numerous health issues & I would be grateful if someone could suggest possible causes.

Over the last few months, she has had the following health issues:-

- Suffered pains in the back of the neck - probably 3 times in last three months, lasts about a day or so.
- Ringing in the ears (when the room is quiet) - started after a flu bug 3 months ago and hasn't gone since.
- Loss of taste (lasted a day or so) - happened twice.
- Tongue appears white on the top.
- Sometimes feels like she is off-balance, usually in a warm environment.

It would appear that it's head related, however she has been to the doctors - with no possible suggestions.

Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated!

Thanks.

Has oral candidiasis been ruled out as a cause for her white tongue? If she's been taking any other medications or there's something else going on in the body it can lower the ability to fight that off.

Have you been checking her blood pressure? That she feels worse when too warm may suggest that her blood pressure could be falling at this time. Either way it might be best to start monitoring it and her heart rate - it certainly wouldn't hurt and can be a good warning flag as to whether anything else is going wrong in the body.
