Recently I have had an issue when I try to crank this otherwise very reliable unit. i get fuel spitting up through the throat of the throttle body after a crank-and-catch-then-quit. I think that the fuel is flooding the engine out. Do I need to do a carb rebuild, or is this another issue? Never had to service a small engine before, so any advice would be helpful.

Yes, there is a service dealer nearby, but I have no means of getting it there (yet), and I'm trying to save a little bit if I can.

Thanks as usual!

please tell me what a LT 1650 is. i'm not being a smart a... i really wanna know

ok sorry about that i see it's a riding mower i just fixed one today doing the same thing. most likely your flywheel key sheared off thats what was wrong with the one i fixed. it's trying to fire but with the key sheared it's out of time so to speak
