I'm going to see white noise tonight

Anyone seen it?

Don't spoil anything but is it any good?

I love horror films but nothing is scary enough lately

yeah, I was going to go & see this too but it's hard to know if it's any good or not since they didn't allow anyone to review it! That's not a good sign!

i went to see it on Friday and it was ok, it wasnt the best film i have seen but it wasnt the worst.

its not a movie i will be getting on dvd, some parts of the movie you can see the scares coming.

i would give it 6/10 aswell.

if every cinema over the UK sell as many tickets as the Showcase LeeRAB then its going to be a big hit.

the cinema was the fullest i have seen it (bar Harry Potter 3)

back in and fairly impressed although I'm not sure what the actual conclusion to the film was

thought michael keaton was good and it had plenty moments where the audience really jumped

doesn't the supporting actress have strange cat-like features, I've never seen her before

overall 7/10

Just seen this and I have to say not at all impressed. It's highly predictable throughout, until the end when it goes in a direction you couldn't have expected, and I don't mean that in a good way. A few decent scares along the way, but nothing in the least bit original. It's yet another spin on The Sixth Sense, with everything that was good about that film completely botched. 4/10.

its nothing like The Sixth Sense.

What, someone claiming to receive messages from the dead that no-one else can see/ hear, then trying to help them. That's nothing like The 6th Sense to you? Oh well, each to their own. I never said it was anything like as good as that film.

I saw it and I absolutely loved it!

It was rather quite slow during the first 20 minutes but after that I was hooked! I jumped a lot as well!

For me I give it 9/10.

Definitely brilliant!

well in White Noise he does not claim he is the only one that can see and hear them, everyone can see and hear them.

he is the one that thinks his wife wants him to help, but i will say once again he does not think he is the only one can see and hear them.

it depenRAB what you were after. if you wanted a quite realistic film that took its time to let you get to know the characters so that by the time the inevitable came, you really cared about what happened, then you'd find it interetsing. if however you wanted cgi sharks and halfassed cyphers and action every 5 mins then you probably won't have enjoyed it.

Plain and simply garbage.

I have been aware of EVP for a considerable length of time. Have watched it being recorded both Audio and Visual and what is shown in the film was not even close.

There was, as fas as I was aware, meant to be some suspense in the film. Didn't see it.

Scares, couldn't see any.

Overall, rubbish.

Score 2/10, given simply for Keaton.

I like my horror psychological too and I really wanted to like Open Water since I was a big Blair Witch fan (controversial?!?) but found it tedious and pretentious - there was a thread on this but it seems to have vanished.

Like I said before, having read the posts here I wont bother with White Noise. However there is an upcoming film called The Machinist starring Christian Bale which sounRAB like it could be promising...

(sorry for kinda going off topic)

there's one coming from australia too called 'wolf creek' which is getting raved about. based on true story of 3 people kidnapped by a serial killer in the outback

Enjoyed Keatons understated performance, thought the plot and pacing was poor.

Must video 4 hours of static later and sit and watch it, probably slightly more entertaining than white noise!

3/10

i see this film got number one at the uk box office not sure why doesnt deserve i guess people went out of curiosty and that got it to number one

White Noise was a very average film as I didnt hate it but I didnt love it either. I would rate it as 5/10 as the only good thing about it was Michael Keaton performance!
