For the past 3- 4 my tongue develpt a white coating on it as well as swollen taste buds all over(they are swollen up really big at the back of the tongue) It started out as just part of my tongue which made a weird design. Now my whole tongue is covered in a thick abnormal white substance I know its not thrush because i was treated for thrush and the doctor looked at the white substance under the microscope. She was not sure what it was but referred me to a dentist. I brush it off at night i wake up and its back again. i realize everyone has a little white coating on their tongue from food particles but my tongue hads never had this thick of a coating. It comes back very fast and the swollen taste buds worry me. Any ideas
