I have a 1991 Dodge Ram D150. 318 engine (V8 - 5.2 litre).
On acceleration it makes a whining noise (almost like a wind up toy) until it finally shifts. It lags in shifting. As well, it sometimes makes a hard shift - clunk like sound which I am unsure if is the U Joints.
It has 225 000 kilometers on it,
Any idea what this could be?
