I am dating a Marine who is going to go to boot camp in September. I'm on the far Eastern coast, and he'll be flying to California to train for something like fifteen weeks (thirteen weeks basic, then two extra weeks of specialization training). During this time, we'll only be able to communicate through snail mail (letters). No email, no phones, no nothing. I can also send him little things - I plan on sending him pictures, lots of letters, and some other things, but I'd like some ideas for the following:
1. When he leaves for boot, I am going to have a bunch of his friends say something personal and encouraging to him on video (we'll film it and send it to him on a disc or pen drive), along with letters. I was hoping to make him a t-shirt was well, that has his name on the back (with all of his friends' signatures) and something catchy about the Marines on the front.
2. While he's at boot, I would like to be able to send him some stuff, not just letters.. any ideas ?

p.s. I wasn't thinking about anything questionable, haha. Just pictures of myself and his friends (his friends are my friends and vice versa), things like that, so he knows we're all doing well.
