Which wound is worse, a wound from a shotgun or a fragment ?

I know it depends on the range so we can say both of them are 10 meters away from a human, so which wound would kill faster ? it also depends on the place where they hit the person so forget the head because both of them would kill immedietely but what about the chest and stomach ? oh, the fragment is from an artillery shell.
