I asked a question a few days ago about how I've only been running a mile daily and wanted to increase endurance and speed so a lot of responses said to add another mile, but on my running course there's a very steep hill that is a pretty significant distance and for the past few times I've jogged I have sprinted as fast as I could up that hill which has left me pretty exhausted to where I didn't want to even think about adding more distance.
So should I add the distance now (+1 mile) or should I keep sprinting up the hill instead until I can do that without being extremely tired afterwards? I was thinking that I would sprint the hill this whole week and next Monday both sprint and add 0.5 mile to my jogging route. Just looking for some running pointers.
And all of this is in addition to jogging 1.5 miles, but I'm trying to train for a 5K run in December.
Thanks in advance.
