Which vtech vsmile games use the microphone or writing pad?

I recently picked up a second hand vtech vsmile game system, but I'm trying to decide keeping it or getting the vmotion. The only difference I see between the systems seems to be the older one has a microphone and writing pad on the controllers, but I haven't seen the games really using these features. Which games use the microphone or writing pad features? Any other recommendations between the systems would be helpful. Thanks!
