First of all, I'm fifteen so don't tell me that my poem sucks because i'm not a professional writer.
But anyway...I have to write about a memory of saying goodbye for english and i'm writing about a really sad time in my life when i was being sent into foster care. I wrote a paper on it but i'm making it into a poem. I wrote this line
"I would soon be sent so a complete stranger's house, and one with a plastered on smile big enough to fool you. My body wasn't fooled though, neither were the tears that ran down my fading cheeks."
now tell me what lines you like better...
my disgusted face turned to her smile
this woman just stood
how long is a while?
just big enough to fool you
was her plastered on smile
but my wet eyes weren't fooled
