SRX? Please explain why.? I return from Iraq in a couple weeks and need to find a reliable vehicle- prefer one of these two choices based on what I've researched so far (since a 1960 Cadillac Fleetwood or other fancy/exotic car is out of the question due to budgetary constraints)
Used, they are both similarly priced (around $12k limit) when all is said and done as I would put a grill guard on the Explorer (can't find one for the SRX) among other options. Explorer would have cloth seats since the leather they used on them was cheap and cracked- other than that, I'd be able to customize it more since parts are more plentiful and cheaper for the Explorer than SRX. They get similar mileage and the SRX might handle better. Reliability? I've read people love them both... SRX was SUV of the year in 04. Explorer has been the best selling SUV for many years for a reason though. What do you think?
