When I was younger (early 2000's) I remember playing a Stronghold game. It was like Age of Empires but better (and I freakin' love Age of Empires). It had better graphics and you were able to control a king like character like an ordinary unit, peasants would gather round a fire outside your castle type thing, and you could talk to them, you could change taxes, it would change morale and prosperity and stuff.
I bought Stronghold 2 deluxe, it wasn't much like the game I remember, does anyone know which game I played?
