I am lookig to get a sport bike in teh next few years and was looking around. I started off wanting a ninja 250r. However i then realized that i would prolly be happier with something in the 600 range and just take it easy at first. I also realized that i have a lot of time to save up money. I could easily get $3000 by the time i get my license. i was looking around on craiglist and realized that the Yamaha Yzfs look awesome even the older 1990's models. So which would i be better off with a Yamaha YZF 600 or a Kawasaki Ninja 600r. They're both in the 2,000-3,000 range used.
