I graduated college with an Accounting degree a couple of years ago and I haven’t really put in any effort to passing the CPA exam. Instead, I’ve been working at a low level job until the economy picks up and I’m now Salsa dancing as a hobby. Salsa dancing is fun but requires A LOT of time, patience, and practice. You have to go for a lot of lessons and practice very hard. I dream of becoming a great Salsa dancer someday so I can walk into the Salsa clubs and impress the hell out of people, especially the ladies.
However, I also feel that I should put in the effort to pass the CPA exam to help advance my career. But if I’m Salsa dancing, there won’t be time to study. Even my Salsa instructors say….keep coming to class as many times per week and don’t stop practicing. If I’m going to do that, I need to concentrate on my Salsa dancing and less on my CPA exam because the CPA exam requires hardcore studying.
That means I have to pick one. What should I pick….Salsa dancing or the CPA exam? Both have its benefits. Salsa will turn me into an impressive, confident dancer that will wow everyone. The CPA exam will help me advance my career and help me become successful.
What should I do?
