Why do some ppl act like blind belief is a pathway to esoteric knowledge?

Is that a ridiculous notion?
The Holy Spirit is not among the choices given. nor Is Vishnu, Ahura Mazda, Thor, Bizen, Mithras, Or Allah. No gods allowed
