So my friend gave me his brand new 9200, which bell sent him as a replacement unit. Anyways he never used it and when he cancelled his service sent back the broken 9200 along with the card and remotes, so now I have to go and buy the remotes, and I see on ebay theres a 5.2, 6.0 etc. Which should I buy and why? Seems the dishnet remotes are alot cheaper.
Thanks

You could also use a universal remote like the ones branded Harmony from Logitech. They could also control your TV and most other AV equipment that you may have. I retired 8 remotes with my Harmony One.

see the current models:

I believe the originals were the 5.2 IR, for the main TV/9200 and the 6.2 IR/UHF Pro was for the Remote location.

How are you planning to use this receiver? In one location? Or are you intending on using it to feed other sets in your home? In other words, can you get by without the UHF remote?

If just the IR one, I agree the Harmony is the best bet. Would be a few extra bucks, but can program great macros. Can also be used for other components long after your 9200.

But if you need the UHF one too then I would find an inexpensive vendor on ebay and pick them both up that way. Pinza is right. 9200 uses v5.2 for IR (model #137177) and v6.2 for the IR / UHF PRO remote (model #137175). As far as I know dishnet = bell remote hardware.
