Which professional sport commonly uses the "mercy rule"?

well i know softball and baseball have the mercy rule because it doesn't have a time limit, in tournament tho it is timed but if you lead up by 10 in the third inning the game is ever,

In Rugby they also have it,., You i think have to be winning by 50 for the mercy rule to be applied =].
 
I can at least say none of the major professional sports (football, hockey, baseball, basketball, etc.) in American use this rule. Don't know enough about rugby to say whether or not it does.

The question was about "professional" sports. Being up by 10 runs in the 3rd inning isn't going to stop a professional baseball game. Maybe when I was in grade school, but not professional.
