Which phone would be better, the htc hd2 (w/ android), or the vibrant?

i WILL port android over to the hd2 if i decide to get it. i am geeky so it is no trouble for me.

i like the overall hardware on the hd2, especially the large screen, but the vibrant does it all and is already on android.

however, i am factoring in cost (without contract) into the equation.

another major question: is android STABLE and FAST on the hd2?? if so i would definately prefer the hd2 as i like the design better.
